Moving Through The Lows!

It seems this year has been filled with all kinds of wacky occurrences! Maybe just my life but all around me has been death, sadness, failure, challenge. Being an empath, it is hard at times to exist in a world that is filled with turmoil, always being open to others feelings, a good and bad thing. However, learning comes from these challenges so I offer some brilliance to get you through.

Notice your own feelings! First and foremost, especially woman we must notice the difference between what we feel and others feel. Often we negate ourselves and empathically feel others strife without even thinking. There is lots of sadness about, but if it is not your strife it is best to be compassionate and move on. You can't help others by feeling sorry for them. In my view, all pain is growth so the best you can offer one is love and kindness. Notice that it is a sad scene, send them love, be kind and then get back to your feelings and life. Yes it is hard to hear one lost a child or a job, but to go into as though it is you is just draining your life force and energy toward what you are doing. You will find that you have no energy if you don't separate your emotions from others. Yes we are all connected and the ones on the high need to stay there so the ones low can remember that they will be high again. We need the balance of those riding the wave to level out those in the crash of it!

Feel your feelings. When we don't notice our true feelings and stuff them down, then they become emotions, energy in motion. They can pile up inside and then your yelling about something stupid, or you are crying at a commercial. If when you feel something you notice then you can express it quickly and be done. Most of us don't even recognize our feelings and keep moving and then wonder why we breakdown. As feelings they are manageable. If you want to cry then cry. If you are angry, then do something physical to express that energy without hurting others with it. They pass quickly at the feeling level, it is unmanaged feelings that are energy and build up in you to be known as emotions. At that point the energy must be expressed or it will create illness, depression or anger. It is best to feel them as they happen or soon after, they pass quickly. You can only cry so long!

Sound and movement are quicker than thinking!  Know that using your mind to talk you out of a low or any emotion is futile and could take days. Sound, like a good song, will shift your mood quickly. If you are in the car and a rocking song comes on, you get the energy and start driving faster. If a depressing song is playing, you often get melancholy. Use this to your benefit! Having a low day, heard bad news, need a lift, use sound! Put on a rocking tune or inspiring song. In seconds it can shift your energy field and focus, you suddenly feel clearer and brighter! It is the gift of the shaman, the reason music is at so many of our gatherings. Sound healing is based on it and it is quick as the next beat!

Same goes for movement. If you are tired, move, do 10 jumping jacks. The oxygen blast will revitalize you so fast. Suddenly you will be energized. Yogis have taught this for thousands of years with bellows breathing. In Aharaj Yoga we do many easy, fast, less than a minute katas that energize and clear your mind. Movement will bring you present to your body, oxygenate your cells and clear your ramble mind very quickly. It doesn't have to be an hour run or huge workout. Dance a song if you want to do something for 5 minutes. The oxygen, the energy field about your, the physical presence will stop the low so fast. Very important and effective to use sound or movement.

Go outside! To me this is one of the most incredible gifts that we miss. The outdoors is filled with negative ions, our offices and homes filled with positive ions. There is a quick balance on an atomic level of the electrons when you go outside. Take a deep breath and notice what is about you. It will change your state so fast. Often your feelings will surface as soon as you step out so notice and feel and then catch the beauty. Nature heals us on so many levels which is why we vacation there. It is relaxing to just be and perceive in a very present way. Nature does that for us and stops the mind. We can not look about and notice when the mind is rambling so it will bring you present.. This is the power of the moment when all your bodies are in alignment. Nature brings us there with no effort. It is the healing gift of beauty!

There are the quickest ways I know how to move back to focus and direction. Often when we do get off balance there is a message for us. So getting out of the low, stepping into the witness is most important so you can catch the message. From there you can move back on track with consciousness. Very important for this time.
