What is True Health in this Time of Uncertainty?


 Health, medicine, science has many meanings to many people. There is conflict in the schools of thought these days. How do we sort through this? Who do we listen too?  Do we have a responsibility to ourselves to learn of our body and health?

I think we must take responsibility for our health. Our Dr.s can only support us if we know and pay attention to what is happening in our body. If we take the time to learn of ourselves, what food works, what movement works, how to destress ourselves and care that optimizes our energy, we will find ways to health.  How can a Dr. tell us that? They can support us and find some solutions, but 15 mins. with them is not enough time for them to find your answers to support your well being. They are a once a year or less check in to support you. They see more sick than healthy people so they are not so learned in health practices. They can solve sick problems. 

I believe all medicine has it's place.  I use western medicine as a tool, as I do self care, homeopathy, good food, the right water, movement and holistic practitioners. As a Clinical Homoepath, we manage the emotional level even more than the physical acute symptom level. I have a podcast with my daughter, The Magical Holistic Healing Arts, that expands us into new and different perspectives on health and healing. 

Over the past two years with all the illness, masking, distancing, vax, no vax, we all seem divided. I have learned to listen to and trust myself. That will be different for us all and I believe that is ok. Let us all, with wisdom of our body, do what works. I live a preventative lifestyle considering that is the best daily choice for health. These practices are more vital than ever. I find that food and water are the two keys, mainly the most valuable keys to what builds us. Getting good food and at least filtered water is paramount. 

We are learning of toxicity in our world. This is what is creating this health crisis. We don't have the fresh food, water, air and life that they did for our grandparents. We can't just go to the store, buy things and consider they are healthy and safe. Many of our snacks have flavor enhancers, food has toxins and grown in unhealthy ways, our water filled with chemicals that we can't pronounce, carcinogens in our cleaners, shampoos, lotions and make up. True health comes from realizing this first. We must consider what we put in our body. Not all choices equal. 

Zach Bush, my favorite leader in medicine and agriculture proves  glysophate,  round up,  has penetrated our food, water, soils and bodies. It breaks down our barriers within . Issues with the digestive system leaking toxins as well as breakdown of our other systems is the problem with round up. It is everywhere in everything. With this chemical attack on our body, solutions need to come to restore this breakdown.

Finding food that is grown not just organically, but with regenerative farming has the highest nutrient value. Once you get the food with that high nutrients, eat in variety, we can begin to detox our bodies. Round up is in our water as well as most of the animals we eat. Hydrogen rich water, that is structured and has active hydrogen antioxidants supports detoxing this pollution every glass we drink. To me, this is an easier, simpler, more effective solution over food. It flows through and washes our system of 70% water. It is harder to be discerning in food. Our stores say organic and safe, but as a health coach, there are studies that even our favorite food stores are fooling us a bit. 

Once this physical level of food and water is handled then comes the mental and emotional planes. Many holistic arts and ancient philosophies feel these are where dis ease begins. We focus so much on the physical level yet how is our stress? How are our thoughts working for us? Do they berate you or do you have a cynical outlook? Do you feel taken advantage of? Angry? Annoyed? Overwhelmed? These need to be addressed as well. 

For true health is a holistic venture. If we are stressed creating cortisol all day, we will get sick from burning out our adrenals. If we have low emotions and depression or fear and panic, our immune system goes down. The effects of negative emotions all day long on a low boil can destroy your health and your life enthusiasm. So lets start to look at true health as we ride through a virus world. 

Beginning your day with bright thoughts, visioning of what you want and relaxing into the day goes a long way on the mental and emotional world which of course effects our physicality. Do you like your life? If not why? How can you change it to support you to a better mood and greater thoughts? Are you run down? Why don't you listen to your body, your innate health system and what it needs? These are huge health questions to be on top of!!

When you come at your health with all these angles in mind, true health is possible. Get to know yourself, your spirit, the you that is delighted with life. If not, find ways to bring in emotional, mental and physical health. They are all connected and equally create havoc in our body. Being holistic, taking all of you into account will give you true health. Truly physical illness is just a sign that you are out of alignment. Check in with yourself and begin these small choices and true health will be a lifestyle!
