Growing Beauty: Lotus Flower

I am a Lotus Flower reaching toward bloom

I began in the muck, mud and darkness of the pond

I gestate in this seemingly yucky space

I allow my shining star to travel its way up

I use the present nutrients of the dark mud.

I allow them to feed me toward my growth

I transmute the conditions into uplifting

I shoot my stem reaching toward the light.

I gradually inch my way, steady, purposeful, inspired.

I accept the timing of the process.

It's slow, steady and consistent.

It supports me all ways to use the situation.

I spread leaves like big circles to absorb the light

Bring it in, allow it to quicken and fortify

I use all to support my bloom of my golden anther

I know all my strength is used to create the bloom.

Upward is the place my star is going.

My growth renews all my parts toward that purity

Alas, I form my bud
Slowly over days, it opens

My color is exquisite,

my scent aromatic,

delicious, intoxicating and perfect.

My form graceful,

alluring and lovable

I shine in my glory,

revel in my beauty

express divine wonder and bloom

I am a lotus flower, perfect as I am

Complete, whole,

I enjoy my blooming

I was created to be me
