As I conjure up my ideas for this year forward, an awareness comes into my mind. The greatest part of all the learning I do as a student, in my Masters Class, through my homework and processes, through educating others is that we are our obstacle. Our often hidden beliefs that create a tangled web in our unconscious, in the foundations of our makeup, that are not so easily found with the rational thinking capacity. I am fortunate to go into the inter workings of myself through all my endeavors and catch a glimpse of what is going on. A courageous one at that, for it is easier to think the world, others or situations are going against us and blocking our path. Consider ourselves lone wolves and the world is out to take us down.
It appears as others, situations and the world are doing these things. With so many variables in the mix of life, the way these creations are mirrored about us is indeed an illusion. We hear that and often may even believe we are eluded in some things. We are taught or told things that in the truth of the world, they are not being done. Evil can win, mean people get what they want, selfish and greed win over good, it all gets confusing what is really going on.
There comes a time when it is about you going inward and deciding what is right and wrong for you. What you want to represent and strive for and that what you were taught to do and what indeed you want and value are different things. You go against the grain of your set up foundation to thrive as the uniqueness that is you, your intuitive being leading. Then comes in the truth of what beliefs are in you that do not fit with what you find to be your authentic self. Then the game begins of who will win? Your authentic being that wants to be or all the beliefs and circumstances that have build up the mechanics of rational thinking inside?
Here is where the brave, the courageous and the renegade makes or breaks the rules. Our society has odd hoopla programmed into us that is quite nonsensical as we get wise with experience. The Aha moment just the beginning of the trek toward being yourself. The tangled web is like a knot upon a knot within and many voices are sharing the rules of how to be. When you identify this as the struggle, this as the issue to be cleared and healed, you get that your beliefs are your own worst enemy. You also see a glimpse that the world is just a mirror of this tangle within.
The picture quite a mess, the tangle like a ball of yarn and the mountain daunting considering you are to crest it. This is where the lightness of spirit, the belief of being part of a larger idea, God, Mind or source come into play. Play is the perfect world for the serious nature will not be able to surf this tangle. Only the light, the curious and childlike, the inner knowing, the intuitive, the open mind and the leaping fool will have the best chance to overcome the tangle.
Why? Because it has no worry of right and wrong, no fear of judgment, no care of what others will think and energy abounds toward adventure and fun. None of those things matter if you are truly unique how could anyone know who that is or compare it for it is one of a kind. That is what spirit is, what you are and it has no true container. It is like a sparkly gel that inhabits forms. So it can get out, shift about, recreate and discard the forms of things. It is an essence by its very nature.
At this time where we are transforming our view of the world, the forces of opposition part of all pieces of life, the rules thrown out, outrageous things occurring that seem absurd, we need to find that light, that lightness, that pure playful force that supports us with the "game on" attitude. The seriousness, the judgment, the them against us is fear instilling and never provides clarity or clear actions. The curious, open mind allows new information, new ways, new ideas and out of the box options to be available and the energy to do them. Hanging in the seriousness is quite exhausting.
I am always the one to inspire this play with life attitude for it is the way to pass by any enemy within and without. Who cares really what you have done that is not up to par? Only you. Who cares if you are considered different, isn't everybody and the ones who appear alike are just pretending? Have the rules and beliefs we have within gotten us where we are going? Or are they just ways we beat ourselves up and judge our behavior in what is clearly a learning process here since nothing goes as you would expect? Does being serious, hiding your flaws, acting, really work to bring calm, fun, relaxation and joy? Is it all working for us? Is this drama and fright and panic real or are we part of it making mountains out of molehills? Aren't we producing our anxiety and depression?
These are the questions to ask yourself as this new time is upon us. We are the ones with outlandish expectations for ourselves and others thinking all this activity will bring us something that is only found within. We find joy, pleasure, peace and calm when we are not doing or doing at a slow pace! To have these things we must lighten up on ourselves and allow the space to enjoy what is going on that is good. The sun will come up tomorrow and the spring will be here. If it really wont, we will manage that when that occurs. Why even consider it? This doom and gloom attitude is an issue.
Our unconscious thinking is our own worst enemy and our societal beliefs just back that up. There are no real rules of how to grow up, how to act, what activities to do for success and the dream life that I have seen work. There is joy and lightness in many conditions not any particular path that works always. The best thing I have learned is that seek and you shall find. Seeking for joy, lightness and love do not occur from any societal rules I have learned, they come when I give myself permission to seek them and enjoy them. Others have different thoughts about what is to be accomplished here. Nothing else makes as much sense as "have a good time" if you want happiness. In fun, joy, love and laughter come in. There is no other way.
Free yourself up to experience life as a magical place. Forgive yourself for your errors in learning and quiet up that petty tyrant in your head. Who cares??? All mess up, all are seeking how to make sense of what is going on here, rich or poor, no one has an absolute way! So use your inner compass, your intuitive mind to find a way to have peace and joy with the process. The process, whatever you want it to be. The goal to have joy and create more. None of that has any judgment, pretentiousness or even a clear path. Each of us have our ideas of what that is. It has review and reflection but they are not negative as judgement. So find that inward spirit you are and play with it. Release it from the conscious "shoulds" and allow its mastery to come into at least part of what we are doing here. It is only when our mastership comes forth that the world will have less dissension.
Until then, it is all just an evolution of consciousness and there is nothing wrong with it all. Did we judge the cavemen as stupid before they created fire? No, they were evolving and some new creative spark came in on discovery that transformed their way of life. That is where we are. We need to allow ourselves to be exactly as we are, evolving. So lighten up on yourself. We are playing here trying to find a better way. As Einstein said, Play is the Highest form of research! Doesn't sound so serious at all!
