I awoke last night, heart pounding from a wild sexual dream. I had the most passionate, sensual intimacy with a most attractive man that was deliciously pleasurable. Upon waking up from a dream, my memory so vivid and real! Often we must remind ourselves it is a dream. I dream a lot and get awoken from them often. Many times I have prophetic dreams, often clearing dreams but this was a true love dream filled with all the wonders of lust, tantra, beauty, passion and heated desire. I laid there with my heart beating so fast, as sex often does and was thinking, I hope this is a prophesy!
Valentines day is such a wonderful celebration of love. Many get depressed on this day if they don't have a lover. I find it larger than just couples and about love and all of its facets. There are many types of love and even when I was married, celebrating couples love doesn't always come on the 14th every year. I consider this whole month of love and seek to find love in my heart for all things. Passion and love can be found in so many places and many of them rich with pleasure and they involve no one else.
Adoring things is my idea of love. I adore many things and this inspires passion towards them. It is an electric energy that is hot and moving. It is rich, deep, textured, filled with enthusiasm and contagious. It is how I wish to live all my days with passion for just being alive. Love isn't just about a lover, its about an attitude to truly experience and be involved with all that is around our world.
In tantra, we play with the subtle nuances of being sensual, in our senses completely. Having intimacy is far beyond intercourse and often that is not partaken in as you play with the subtly of desire. It builds the intensity of desire through touch and play to that very moment when you want that full connect and you end it there. Each time getting more turned on by the process rather than the end, intercourse. Learning to be in your body and use it as the pleasure tool it is, finding the intimacy in the play, touch, truly turning on all the sensors of the skin and our body. My dream had all kinds of this tantric play in it.
Taking this idea further of passion, adoring and love, you can do this with all your life and relationships. You can romance everything to find its juicy wonder as you truly experience through life. I believe this is a lost art, our kinesthetic sense lacking with all our minding. We miss the sensuality, passion and true energy of living fully. Practicing this sensuality in all life has such a power to it. The pleasurable energy of adoring all around you quite a delight!
Nature teaches us this naturally by her sensory stimulation. We can see the beauty with our eyes, feel it on our body through the air and temperature, hear the quietness so that new sounds appear in it. We use our tactile nature with the soil, flowers or rocks, feeling the many surfaces. Our whole being gets a settled, calm feeling and presence is easy. The scents of a spring day or the salt air stimulates us. We get into all facets of our body, its tantra play.
When we are with people we can truly focus in on their eyes and listen to then attentively, hearing all their words rather than half listening. We can notice their state, are they happy, sad, frustrated, elated just by noticing their behavior or our natural empathic connection to their energy. Touch, hugs, love taps are so healing and important. Probably one of the most healing things is to just touch people kindly for many are absent touch. We can experience them fully with all our self present, paying attention, our heart open to give and share the moment with them.
We can do this with ideas, jobs, projects, anything. Truly find a passionate view toward all life. Even when things are stressful, we can notice how our body reacts, see if there is tension or strife in our stomach or shoulders, watch how our emotions get rolling, hear our mind spin in worry. We get cut off from our sensuality when challenge is about, not noticing all the effects it has going on if we just listen inwardly. When things are going good, we can feel the power and surge of energy as we move excitedly. Our mind going off on possibility, our emotions filled with joy and promise, our eyes see the vividness of a hopeful world, our ears hearing all in positivity. Our body electric in enthusiasm and excitement.
This is how I see passion and love. It doesn't usually have much to do with another but with how we perceive and experience the world. It is about our tuning into the true experiences we are having with all our senses that our sacred body has given us to be in the world. These indicate when and how to move if we actually would use all senses in living. Our intuitive sense becomes more clear and vital as we learn the subtle energy support our body is offering us.
Yes, the romance of my incredible dream was wonderful and delicious. I will allow it to set the tone to find that passion, that enthusiasm, that desire and tasty flavor on this Valentines day. All the delights of being alive can be found in intimacy with a lover as well as going through our lives with our sensuality high and turned on. We learn to adore all that comes our way. The not so lovely we pick up our pace so we can walk through it quickly, passionately moving towards more pleasure. When we do find pleasure, we slow down our pace to fully engage, take in, revel and absorb the play it has within all of our body.
May passion and love come upon you on this day and every other day forward. Remember the magic, aliveness and guidance of your sensual body as you stroll through the world experiencing love and passion on every level possible. This is drinking up every drop of life in passion and love that brings great joy, health and pleasure.
