There is no question that with all the breast cancer about in woman, we are concerned for our breast health. Modern medicine has truly helped us learn of the importance of this self care and offers us to notice our breasts and feel for any lumps. It is kind of a scary practice to massage ourselves with the panic that we may feel something. I think it causes us not to do it often enough when indeed it is important prevention.
The breasts and heart constitute the Anahata chakra of the heart. Here we nourish the world with our milk and our love, a very feminine chakra, a very wonderful area of our body. We have all kinds of breast augmentation, heart problems, and generally, a clogged chakra. We don't move this area of our body much so energy gets stuck there. It is a powerful place and it is where earth energy and divine or souce energy from above meet and mingle to share through the world.
We need to take a different veiw on this area that is more settling and less fearful. Our breasts are part of our womanness, we are very disconnected and others use and feel them more than we do. Not in a sexual way either, we just don't realize the incredible value of this area of the body. It is important to us to connect to, understand and take health measures to ensure the flow of blood, lymph drainage and love.
I am teaching a breast massage on January 29th, that I learned from a teacher, Maria. She learned this at a breast cancer institute in France as a source of prevention. That area of the world is ahead of us on holistic living. She learned it from a Tibetian Doctor at a symposuim there. It is a way to honor your body, increase the energy flow there, understand the importance of knowing this area and offering it love through masage that is gentle and wonderful self care. Rather than seeking to find a lump, we are healping this area of the body thrive and be open.
Join us and I will share with you one of these most sacred woman practices I have learned. To our ability to create more love in the world and help our most precious body with connection and understanding of its way. Truly a sacred vessel!
