Pravati is very devoted, inspiring, soft, graceful, the symbol of our beautiful way. I believe if there was an energy we need to embrace it is hers. Kali, the warrior is already so present in us because of our way to thrive in the business world, a very competitive and masculine system. We display too much of this behavior already, it is not conscious or controlled, it gets out of hand and has unbalanced our system within our bodies and without in cliquish, high school behaviors between woman. Exhausting use of energy!
Woman don't express the more kind ways of woman often enough. Or if we do, we use it against ourselves as playing the martyr, the one whom helps everyone to the negation of their own needs. This energy needs a look, to be explored from a healthy perspective! Both energies are being used unwisely, inappropriately and against our own empowerment. In my class on power, we explore these energies, how they feel through practices with them so we better understand when we are operating in them and how to use them for ourselves and our growth. This is a vital learning and a powerful way to understand the gifts of womanhood.
Goddesses are archeatypes, they portrait qualities or characteristics of woman in a beautiful artistic way. Woman are the dynamic changing element of humanity. I look at the Goddess representations of all the ways we have available to move as woman and the different roles that make us powerful as woman. We haven't had woman models that inspire us in all the qualities we possess. I look at the Goddesses from this angle as practical understanding of our womanhood, bringing in ancient knowledge to help with our modern times.
