Womans Health

There is so much we need to learn about ourselves and our health that our medicine here has not taught us! They have only studied woman and their bodies for maybe 50 years? I have had the wonder of learning through ayervedic medicine and Chinese medicine things that we woman in the U.S. should know about our bodies that is astounding. Other traditions and cultures have so much more information for us to learn about woman's bodies.

In learning last night and I will this whole weekend from Maria, a Brazilian teacher whom has studied with these medicines and in ancient traditions of woman, such vast information that we should know about ourselves! It is science, it has been working for thousands of years, and we are using a system that is so young, studies only done for 10 years on us and then products released that are unstable and shifted all the time. I am excited to learn this, become a teacher and build a culture in our areas where this is common knowledge to woman for ourselves and our daughters.

Learning of our systems, most importantly our reproductive system which we all have so many issues about is paramount. We learn maybe from our gynecologist, not much taught by our mothers for they don't know or things learned in a health crisis through our doctors. There is vast knowledge in the Chinese culture and Ayervedic medicine regarding this that we have never seen. It makes perfect sense as you hear it, it helps us understand our skin, our youth, our womb, our very beauty. I am in awe of it and so surprised that in our culture conversations and learning of these things is not part of our way as woman when it is such vital information.
