Experiential Learning is Key to Joy!

Experiential learning is what The Lotus Project is about. All is an experience of mind, body and spirit. If you chose awareness of this you can learn and create quicker when your being is aligned. Throughout life we have been mostly taught on the mental plane of information and words. Lab, the arts and  gym class were experiential learning. You were totally engaged in learning with all parts of you. Learning is quicker and more efficient this way.

I write about my learning, my videos share it as well. If you don't do the practices, or take what I share and apply it to your experiences in a conscious way then the brilliance of it is lost and it becomes just words. All the Raja Yoga, Tia Chi and Feminine Workshops are based on moving and doing to get the experience of the principles. We all know what Tia Chi looks like, slow flowing movement, but until you actually do some of the moves, feeling the flowing and ease it puts your body in, the vibration, the feeling of that energy state, you don't get the health benefits it offers your spine, your joints and organs. Mentally it may make sense but doing it and feeling the goodness it creates, you then go "Wow, yea this feels really good!"

I think often we know what to do to shift but we don't do the practice so we don't get the shift. We are too busy and then miss the whole benefit, just knowing the information and not experiencing the words. That is what makes it knowledge, the doing, the applying. We are not taught enough in this way and we have lots of information but not practical knowledge of it. If you have any issue that you are stuck or facing, find an experience and do it that supports that shift. It is quite easy when you get it. Movement and sound are quicker ways of understanding shifting your behaviors than thinking. It is just law.

Thinking is a great skill. But it is not our only tool and it is actually in lag behind us. As we move in the world, we are still seeing, percieving and taking in every moment, our mind is often behind talking to us about something we saw, heard or thought so it is not in the moment. The body still present in taking in but the mind behind, analyzing or catagorizing the last moment so it is not present to the newest one. That is why presence is so important, you are missing life if you are always in the mind. Awareness is keeping your mind present to what is happening in every moment, not lost in the last or the next. This is where an experience keeps you present to what you are learning.

To create more joy, more happiness, these high vibrations, it is quicker to do something to create these states and remember what they feel like. Not thinking joy or happiness, but actually feeling joy and happiness. In Tia Chi we experience smooth, flowing movement and then can retrain our body to move in this way, to flow with life on the physical level. In Aharaj Yoga we feel the anxiety, annoyance, call up the emotions and use a practice to transform it to power, on the energetic level, In Feminine learning we move to feel flowing, our  flexible nature,  the fun nature of charm, communication and beauty. Yes we know these words but if we don't do movements to remind our bodies and emotional nature of what this feels like, we are missing the experience, thus the brilliance.

I can not educate you on this level through blogs and videos unless you actually do the practice. You can't still the mind in meditation unless you do it, otherwise it is just thinking, mental plane. That is why a person who is a master can teach through being in their presence more than a book. There is a transmission of energy, an experience on the emotional level that makes them more effective than a book. You experience them with all your body, being present, listening, engaging. That is why some of the most esoteric learnings are only given to a few, because they require your own experience with the knowledge to get it. It can't just be told to you.

I invite you to evolve yourself, develop yourself in this way. It is more efficient, practical and shifting so you can actually apply all the things you know versus just knowing the information. It is why I share the expressive and healing arts here. These are ways to experience creativity and vibrations that heal. You are engaged in playing, in doing, in moving. It is so key especially in creating a high joyful and happy life. You have to take time to do, otherwise you are just like the cartoons living in the word space above your body. You not grounded to use all the senses that you have available to you. You are missing much fun! This is how to make life living yoga or artistry. It is in the doing, the creating, the experiencing of all the tools you have. Not just thinking!
