I ran today for the first time in a while. A small run too and I was like a turtle with alittle jog the first couple laps. I think I got inspired to do this after the setting intentions class and remembering I am to ground my ideas. manifest them, make them visible and bring them to fruition. The first chakra, muladahara, is about the root, the physical embodiment of ourselves. Grounded in time and space present in our bodies. The end result, manifestation. In the laws of spirit, it you want to do anything high, you must have a sound body first. Physical health is based on this principle as well as Marlowe's Hierarchy of Needs. Food, foundation, support. That is why we must strengthen our physical bodies. It is all about manifestation of ideas. So consider this when choosing your movement strategy! It gives power to manifest your ideas.
The other chakra that physical movement helps is your manipura, solar plexus, agni, or fire in eastern traditions. This is where your vital energy comes from. Your fire, motivation, action, money making capability, your power. This area governs your digestion, fire of course to transform food, your immune system, the protective vital body to keep you healthy and germs incinerated by the fire before they get into your body! Very important to your health and why movement is so important! The reason that people who move live healthier lives and why we are told to workout! You feel this when you activate it. My first laps where harder and as I got adjusted, I started to feel my power and energy shift quickly.
Bringing in these conscious ideas as you work out, considering you are grounding your ideas by strengthening your body, and considering your career and health goals that you desire while doing your movement will make it more effective. Anytime you can bring in mental and emotional ideas to your physical movement you are adding power and consciously developing on more levels so it is strengthing many areas of your body, aligning your intentions!
The third thing I want to share is to look up as you workout. Running makes your eyes go to the ground so you don't trip. However, by adding in the consciousness of looking up at the treeline, the sky line you activate the higher chakras. So you are aware of where you are going of course but keeping the focus high. This noticing of the sky line gives you the beautiful expansion of the upper universe. It just clears you right open! These higher visions, higher impressions could be explained on so many levels just how beneficial they are. Suffice it to say, you are receiving the reflection within of the expansive sky and of course that makes you more open to all possibilities to just focus on it!
Simple, practical ways to live more vibrantly using more awareness, more centers at once, more consciousness in all you do. The yoga of living!
